ICN’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) mission is to facilitate the exploitation of research results, by transferring knowledge and technology developed at ICN to industry worldwide, and improving R&D and Innovation of local industry by facilitating their uptake of nanotechnology in general, thereby helping to stimulate economic growth and contributing to the wellbeing of society.

The ICN seeks to accomplish these goals via:

  • Identification and assessment of technologies with commercial potential,
  • Protection of technologies with commercial potential, through a specific and well defined IP strategy,
  • Marketing and transfer of knowledge, patents and know-how through licensing agreements with industry and the promotion and creation of spin-off companies,
  • Promotion of collaborations between the industry and the ICN,
  • Commercial and scientific consultancy services,
  • Promotion and dissemination of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in congresses, partnering and other networking events.
