Logo composition
The ICN logo comprises three indissoluble elements and fixed proportions: the ICN logo, the baseline and the "R" logo belonging to Research Centers. Regarding the latter, it must always appear to the right of the logo, vertically aligned with the top of the ICN letters.
Horizontal version
When the ICN brand name appears alone, without other logos, the current horizontal version will be used. The corporate symbol formed by three blue circles will appear in front of the acronym and on the same line.

Vertical version
When the ICN logo appears together with other logos, the vertical version should be used. The corporate symbol formed by three blue circles must be visually centred on the acronym. Note that these restrictions are flexible, depending on the shape and format of the space available and the sizing of adjacent logos.
Colour of the logo
Colour version
Whenever possible (because the background colour is white or neutral enough), the ICN brand should be displayed using the following colours:
- Blue: pantone 1457 (CMYK 91_68_ 1_0)
- Orange: pantone 158 (CMYK 0_65_95_0)
- Black: pantone 080808 (CMYK 82_80_74_95)

Black version
If the background or the printing system makes it impossible to use the colour version, then the logo may be displayed in black, as shown.

Layout, font type and brand size
When the ICN brand should appear next to other logos, visual weight should be proportional to the different brands. The type of letter is a combination of left box Unica Haas Bold and a body size at least 20.5 points for the ICN logo and 5.5 points for the baseline.
Complementary identifying logos
The ICN brand should, wherever possible, be accompanied acknowledgement of the ICN´s two patrons, the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and the extensive financial support provided by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN), the European Union and ICREA. In addition, a particular activity or publicity may involve acknowledgement of additional sponsors or supporters. These acknowledgements should ideally be effected with a strip of the relevant logos, carrying the text “Supported by: “ as can be seen in this example:
